摘要:
用同步辐射光电发射谱测量了 S 型与 M 型钡钨阴极和清洁钨上覆钡与氧化钡的模拟表面。全部的量测数据都在室温下从新的、寿命初始阶段的阴极上得出。实验表明,S 阴极表面有上 BaO、Ba 与化学吸附氧同时出现,而 M 阴极表面只存在金属钡与吸附的氧。M 阴极的优异发射性能意味着阴极表面的关键性成份是钡,而不是氧化钡。
Abstract:
Synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy measurements have been performed on“M”and“S”type dispenser cathodes and on model surfaces consisting of barium and barium oxide on clean tungsten.All measurements were made uing newly preparad cathodes at room temperature.It is found that in the type“S”cathode BaO,Ba and chemisorbed oxygen are present while only metallic Ba and adsorbed oxygen are found in the type,“M”cathode The superior performance of the type“M”cathode implies that Ba rather than BaO is the crtiical component of the cathode surface,
