摘要:
通过对LaB_6在各种气体、气压下中毒机理的研究,发现它的热发射在H_2中最稳定,在O_2中变化最大。高温激活过程中,氧的存在对去除阴极表面的碳杂质是有利的,因此LaB_6的激活应该由时间、温度、所处真空环境中的含氧量三者共同决定。对于国产多晶LaB_6材料,在10^{-3}Pa低真空激活条件下,可使阴极迅速进入正常工作;在10^{-5}—10^{-6}Pa的真空环境中使用LaB_6阴极,不但发射稳定而且寿命极长。
Abstract:
Having studied the poison mechanism of LaB_6 in different gases and pressures, we find that it works most stably in H_2 and it has violent variation in O_2. Oxygen existing is of great advantage to eliminate carbon impurity on surface in activating process. The activity of LaB_6 depends upon the time, temperature and residuary oxygen in the chamber. For home made polycrystalline LAB_6, we can rapidly put it into work if ,it has been activated in 10^{-3} Pa and LaB_6 works only stably but also in a long life time if it i put into vaecum about, 10^{-5}~10^{-6} Pa.
