Abstract:
In this paper, the thermal effects in recessed hydrostatic bearing have been studied in detail. Reynolds, continuity, energy, geometry and viscosity equations are solred simultaneously. A series of technical approaches are employed in solving reversed flow and saving computer time. Therefore, the bearing performance data considering thermal effects is obtained and compared with the isothermal results so as to get some useful conclutions. The FORTRAN computer program is worked out and can be run on the IBM-PC microcomputer. It is shown that this program is available, reliable and high efficient.
