Abstract:
The nominal compressive stress-strain curve is deduced from the actual stress-strain curve on the base of engineering tensile stress-strain curve. It is used to have plastic modification of elastic-plastic stability analysis of honeycomb sandwich plates. The modified results coincide with experimental ones very well. It is indicated that using the nominal compressive stress-strain curve is more reasonable than using the tensile stress-strain curve for studying elastic-plastic stability of metallic component.
