摘要:
对4种典型的可靠组播协议XTP,SRM,RMTP和RMP进行了分析.这些协议有各自不同的适用范围:如RMTP协议基于树的拓扑结构,RMP基于环的拓扑结构,而XTP和SRM则没有拓扑的限制.本文对上述协议从可扩展性、可靠性、原子性和网络性能方面进行了比较研究,同时对协议模型进行了网络性能上的定量计算.可以看出,RMTP在可靠性方面高于其他协议,但同时也带来了最大的网络资源开销.而SRM和RMTP协议在可扩展性方面也远远好于XTP和RMP协议.最后,从容错角度对可靠组播协议进行了进一步的分析.
Abstract:
Four types of typical reliable multicast protocols, xpress transport protocol(XTP),scalable reliable multicast(SRM),reliable multicast transport protocol(RMTP)and reliable multicast protocol(RMP)are analyzed. Each of these protocols has its application area, for example, RMTP bases on the tree topology, RMP bases on the ring topology, while XTP and SRM have no restrictions on topology at all. This paper compares these protocols in the view of scalability, reliability, atomicity, and network performance, followed by a quantitative computing of the network throughput. It is obvious that, although RMTP has a better reliability than other protocols, it also brings about the most network usage. In addition, SRM and RMTP are far better than XTP and RMP protocols in scalability. At last, a survey from the viewpoint of fault tolerant is proposed.
