Abstract:
Based on analyzing the internal heat sources, transmission ways and ensuring boundary conditions of C-spindle system of gantry machining center, the transient-state heat transfer model and finite element model are established, meanwhile the matrix equation of the temperature of the nodes is educed. The three-dimensional transient temperature field is calculated using finite element method(FEM). The result indicates that the system takes 1.8 h to reach its thermal balance and the temperature distribution and temperature-rise of each part are also calculated. The tiptop temperature occurs at the heat sources and the maximal temperature-rise is 22.402 ℃. These results present a theory foundation for optimal design of releasing heat structure.
