Abstract:
Based on displacement-based finite element models proposed, a finite element(FE)method of steel and concrete composite beams considering slip between steel girder and concrete plate is presented. A force-method equation about unknown nodal forces of the composite beams is proposed based on the governing differential equation. Based on the force-method equation, the stiffness matrix and fixed-end nodal displacement and force vector are derived. The proposed model is compared with experimental beams in the midspan cross-section deflections, strain distribution and the slip of supporting points. It is shown that the calculation results by the proposed method are in close agreement with the experimental results.
