摘要:
设计了一种直接数字输出的DC-10 Mbit/s非均衡码突发信号光接收机,并采用0.5 μm CMOS工艺成功实现.该接收机根据突发非均衡码的特点,以峰值检测为基础,采用全直流耦合,设计了新型开关自动增益控制电路和复位控制逻辑电路,实现了灵敏度和动态范围的优化.整个系统具有高响应速度,可消除突发导致的比特丢失.测试结果表明,当速率为10 Mbit/s和600 bit/s时,该接收机可分别获得优于-30 dBm和-36 dBm的灵敏度及宽于30 dB的动态范围.对于连续“0”信号和无信号状态,该接收机提供可编程时间的报警指示功能.整个接收机采用5 V单电源供电,功耗仅为30 mW.
Abstract:
A DC-10 Mbit/s optical receiver with direct digital complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS)output is designed for burst-mode unbalanced(BMU)optical signal transmission and realized successfully by standard 0.5 μm CMOS technology. According to the characteristic of BMU signals, the optical receiver adopts a novel auto gain controlling(AGC)mechanism and reset logic control circuits based on peak level detection and full DC-couple to achieve a high sensitivity and a large dynamic range simultaneously. The optical receiver also has a quick response to avoid any bit loss. The test results indicate that the receiver can achieve an optical sensitivity of better than -30 dBm at 10 Mbit/s and -36 dBm at 600 bit/s. Moreover, the dynamic range is wider than 30 dB. For a status with a long running “0” or no signal, the receiver can provide an automatic alarm function. It dissipates only 30 mW from a 5 V supply.
