Abstract:
Based on mathematical analysis this article presents mathematical models and programs used to calculate force, moments, pressure angle and moment of inertia etc, for the rotary index machine with index barrel cam. In addition,the optimum solution to torsional moment is also discussed. Both Kinetic and dynamic parameters of the rotary index machine following the law of harmonic (cosine), cycloidal (sine) and Modified constant velocity(complex sine) motions can be solved by these programs.Therefore, quantitative analysis of characteristics can be made in the design stage, which will lead to a good construction of the machanism. The total torsional moment M and the parameter K for the law of Mod-ified constant velocity which has important effects on the characteristics of the machine are also investigated.
