Abstract:
This paper proposes an efficient,robust and accurate method by layered approach to member’s sectional characteristics allowing for the effects of concrete cracking and steel yielding in composite structure. The member’s moment/displacement matrix is formulated and evaluated by an efficient numerical integration scheme allowing for shift of neutral axis and variation of axial strain along an element, demonstrating the potential scope of application for the developed computer method.
