Abstract:
An improved analytical calculation method based on Schwarz-Christoffel mapping is proposed to calculate the accurate air gap magnetic field distribution of rectangular shape permanent magnet linear machine. First, an air gap magnetic field model without considering slot effect is built by the equivalent magnetizing current method. Secondly, the traditional Schwarz-Christoffel mapping is improved by considering the structure size and rectangular slot effect of permanent magnet linear machine. Then, the air gap magnetic field distribution of rectangular slot permanent magnet linear machine is calculated by the improved Schwarz-Christoffel mapping. The detailed theory analysis and calculation results show that, compared with the traditional Schwarz-Christoffel mapping, the proposed method is more consistent with finite element analysis. Finally, a short secondary tubular permanent magnet linear generator is constructed by using the improved Schwarz-Christoffel mapping.
